Plus-Size Beauties Take Over Kpop
FINALLY!! A group NOT made up of anorexic twigs who can’t really sing and who look like they might pass out any second out of starvation.
Introducing “Piggy Dolls” — ladies you don’t see that often in the kpop scene, or really, in Korea in general.
As talented as they are, who the HELL came up with the name “Piggy Dolls”? Is their company trying to say they’re, like, cute but fat pigs? Not cool at all. When kpop takes one step forward, it takes two steps back.
MBLAQ Finally Delivers With “Cry”
Stupahstah Rain‘s rookie group MBLAQ FINALLY shows Korea what they’ve got in their latest mv, “Cry.” MBLAQ, for me, has been one of those groups that I’ve tried hard to like–their songs aren’t bad and the basic talent is definitely there. But for being Rain’s “special project” of sorts, I think they failed to deliver in the past.
Until “Cry.” It’s a great mellow song, and is only enhanced by GO’s vocals. And the dancing is awesome to boot. It reminded me of–dare I say–DBSK (DBSK in its prime, not the sad two member group it currently is #RIPDBSK).
Granted, there were several points in the mv where I was like WOW LeeJoon is borderline drag queen with that makeup, and yeah, the whole thing was over-dramatic.
Yet, I continue to listen to this song over and over and over.
Amber Returns to f(x)!
Danson Tang isn’t the only one who’s back.
Finally, it’s the moment f(x) fans have all been waiting for — Amber has returned to Korea after her nearly six-month long hiatus! When she was spotted at SHINee‘s Dec. 2 concert, SME came out with an official statement saying, “Amber has returned to Korea for the year-end. It is true she visited SHINee’s concert. Her condition has improved a lot after resting in the U.S. Amber will continue to rest while preparing for f(x)’s next album. We are currently deciding on the date for the comeback.”
I hardly believe that she was away for six months just because of an “ankle injury.” My guess is she either was A.) extremely homesick, or B.) sent away for plastic surgery.

Hiatus
Unfortunately, my school/personal life is really hectic right now and I just don’t have time to maintain this blog. I will return eventually, but for now I’m going to take a break.

No idea what “O-IWI-O” is supposed to mean but it sounds good.

Dalmatian “Round 1” MV
I was very skeptical of rookie group Dalmatian, but I have to say, their first mv “Round 1” impressed me. The dalmatian theme was a little too much (wonder how long they’ll keep that up), but they’re a helluva lot better than other rookie boy groups out there. They seem fun and definitely have potential!
