2NE1’s new single for Samsung (“Try to Copy Me”) is effin hot. Yeah, it’s repetitive, but these girls definitely don’t disappoint.

This song is definitely my guilty pleasure….yeah, it’s really corny whenever they bust out into “get jiggy” or “shawty, shawty” wearing some pretty ridiculous outfits, but it’s so catchy and upbeat that I can’t help but love it. And the kids with the curly hair (Yejun) and bowl cut (LeeU) are so adorable ^^

I can’t stand HyunA but I have to admit at some points she was pretty hot in this music video. Nonetheless, a lot of her dance moves, were pretty really skanky for a 17-year-old. Wtf??? There are ways to be sexy without vulgar. And sorry babe, I’m still not that crazy about your song.
One word that describes new group ZE:A — CONFUSING. I don’t get how ZE:A’s Mazeltov/Nativity theme relates to Mexican and Latin girls, and like I always say, if you’re going to include non-Korean phrases in songs make sure your members can actually pronounce them (especially if that phrase is the main hook of the song). Mazeltov=/=Majeltof.
I could forgive these things if the song wasn’t so boring.

This mv has been out since November and I’m really surprised I didn’t even know it existed until 30 minutes ago!!
I’m not big on ballads, so “Blue Tomorrow” was never really one of my favorite songs, but the mv actually made me like it a bit better. The guys were dramatic but not overly so (for an Asian mv, or really a Super Junior mv, at least). And I thought Ryeowook actually looked kinda manly until I saw he was wearing pastel pink pants : / But hey, so do all the cool kids in Connecticut.
Overall, not bad.

Eh, not really. 4Minute’s HyunA hasn’t really brought anything new/exciting to the table with her solo track “Change.” I’ve been vocal about my dislike for HyunA and her annoying voice on this blog, and when I heard she was coming out with a solo song, I thought I would go crazy if I had to listen to just her for 3 or 4minutes.

But I have to admit, “Change” isn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. She toned down her screechy vocals, and the collab with my favorite BEAST member Joon Hyung helped a bit. My only thing is that for a girl who walks around like she’s hella fierce, this song is kinda bland and boring–not that catchy. My point is, I don’t see it as a powerful coming out solo single, like it would probably be track #11 on a full length CD if you get what I mean–one of many songs. Maybe it’ll grow on me once I see the performances, I dunno. Judge for yourself.
Here’s the MV teaser.

Following in the steps of 2NE1, f(x) is coming out with their own “Lollipop” CF for LG’s Lollipop in China. The girls are teaming up with Tai Rey’s 6-member boy band M.I.C (below).

Although the CF features the same style of 2NE1/Big Bang’s mv, the song is pretty different. I know kpop fans will be knocking it because they’ll see it as another Chinese copy-cat thing, but give it a fair listen because it’s freakin catchy. Like, REALLY catchy. I personally love it, especially Amber’s part.

I am so excited they decided to release this version because I absolutely loved it when I heard it during Super Show II. KRY provides awesome vocals :D
However, the music video is corny as hell. I almost died when I saw Sungmin’s over-exaggerated expressions.
And I love how Kibum isn’t in it AT ALL (surprise) and Kangin doesn’t get any closeups (unless I just didn’t notice).
